President of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić, accompanied by Eagle Hills CEO Mohamed Alabbar, visited the works on Belgrade Tower at the Belgrade Waterfront. During the visit, President Vučić underscored that he was proud of everything done so far and that the tower would be a new symbol, not just of Belgrade, but of all Serbia. Our company, Millennium Team, a regional leader in its field, partnered with Pizzarotti on the Belgrade Tower construction project.
While visiting the Belgrade Tower site, President of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić underscored how proud he was of this construction site, and of everything done so far, and added that 750,000 square meters were being built, and that this construction site employed 2,530 workers.
- Day by day, this place is becoming one of the most beautiful locations in our country, said Vučić, adding: - From this tenth floor, where we are now, the building will start to spin. This will definitely be the most popular spot in Belgrade. We will have the best hotel and the only hotel of that category in Europe, and at its top there will be a viewpoint with different contents – said President Vučić, adding that he was also expecting the opening of the biggest shopping mall in this part of Europe in this location.
The President underscored that the opening of Belgrade Tower could be expected in 14-15 months.
- I am very happy and proud of what everything we have done here. From a horrible part of the city where no one could even move, we created one of the most beautiful parts of the capital. Thanks to everyone who believed in our energy, and to those who didn’t, they encouraged us to give our best. We will have the highest level of property tax from this area. New life will be created here, with beautiful boulevards, parks for children, restaurants - said Vučić, adding that the Sava Square was currently being constructed, which would also look fantastic.
The President of Serbia underscored that the image of Belgrade was changing, and that tourist visits increased by 20% every year.
- I am happy, this was brave, but we could have not done it without the support of Alabbar. We have done major work, we had to create the conditions for construction – said President Vučić and added that this project was one of the most important and bravest things done in Serbia.
The Belgrade Tower will have 40 stories and will represent the central part of Belgrade Waterfront, and at the top floor, there will be the biggest viewpoint in Belgrade, which will provide an amazing view of the city. The Belgrade Tower will also contain St. Regis apartments. It will have 50,000 square meters, 40 stories, parking on two underground levels, above which the luxurious St. Regis hotels will span over nine floors. The restaurant will be on the 38th floor, a viewpoint at the top, and it will be directly connected to the neighbouring mall BW Gallery.
Once completed, Belgrade Tower will be as high as 168 meters, while Beograđanka or Ušće are *only* 100 meters high.
