–This is just part of the works scheduled to take place on the Sava Promenade. It has taken us a long time to complete this section as it involves construction works on a part of bank reinforcements, but now with the added trails and trees, this part of the city is completely transformed. We were successful in our efforts to present the people with additional bits of the Sava’s banks. We plan to continue the work in this part all the way up to the Belgrade tower. The construction works on the part from the tower up to the Belgrade Fair are scheduled to begin next year, after which we will carry out works on the part from the Fair to Ada Ciganlija . The Mayor emphasised that we will have a beautiful promenade, which is already a renowned spot in Belgrade, spanning from Beton hala, Branko’s Bridge up to Ada Ciganlija within the next and a half to two years. The Mayor also went on to add that this small part of the promenade already shows that attention is paid to every detail as part of the desire for it to become better and more appealing.

According to him, the construction works on the Belgrade Waterfront buildings are being carried out according to schedule, with facades on both buildings that are being built first scheduled to be completed by the end of October, as well as the ground floor of the residential units.

–Our objective is to, by end of April, which is the deadline, have occupied apartments in addition to the other projects currently being carried out, namely the two residential buildings. The piles for the shopping centre have been put in place, with above-ground works scheduled to begin within the next two to three weeks. We will begin with construction works on the Belgrade tower, with placing of piles scheduled to be completed in September – stated Siniša Mali. The mayor of Belgrade emphasised that this is the biggest construction site in Europe as well as that the domestic construction industry and employees have been hired to execute the works that will reshape the country as a whole, and Belgrade as well. The Chief City Urban Planner Milutin Folić, President of Savski venac municipality Irena Vujović and deputy director of the Belgrade Waterfront Aleksandar Trifunović attended the event.
