President of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić officially placed the foundation stone in Vranje, on the occasion of the start of construction of 186 affordable apartments for members of the security forces in Serbia.
The contractor for the project of construction of affordable apartments for the members of the Army of Serbia, the police and the BIA in Vranje and Niš is going to be our own company Millennium Team, in cooperation with the Turkish company Taşyapı Construction.
Concurrently, construction of 190 apartments started in Niš, in the presence of Prime Minister Ana Brnabić. This means that there are total of 376 apartments which construction had started. The event organized with regard to the start of construction in Vranje was also attended by deputy-Prime Minister and Minister of Construction Zorana Mihajlović, deputy-Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Nebojša Stefanović, and by H.E. Ambassador of Turkey to Serbia Tanju Bilgic.
At the ceremony of placing the foundation stone in Vranje, the President of Serbia said that those apartments will make the future secured and easier for the members of security forces in the Serbian south.
“We do not dream and imagine the future, we build it. We are aware how much that future depends on us, our work, our effort and readiness to make it,” said Vučić in his address to the gathered people.
The President of Serbia said that members of the security forces in Vranje would bind their lives for the Serbian south and that citizens could feel safer, knowing who was protecting them and who was helping them feel safe.
There will be 186 apartments built in the first stage, in the second 198, while total of 8,022 apartments will be built across the entire country.
“That means a place to live for more than 8,000 families, it means future for them and a safe future for all of us,” said Vučić. He added that the apartments in Vranje were going to be sold by EUR 400 per square meter. “When we thought about the place where we should build the apartments, we have hoped to find places such as this, where a part of the infrastructure had already been present, kindergartens, schools, etc. This place is so wonderful that I am certain that those who build condos in other cities, in Mitrovica, Kraljevo, Niš, Novi Sad, or Belgrade will want to have apartments built on such locations. We are going forward, into tomorrow and we are building a country of our children. We are going straight to the future,” said President Vučić and expressed his gratitude to the workers who worked hard on building the apartments.
